Kind of funny LePage is going to win an RCV election after LePage is the whole reason Maine adopted RCV.

I appreciate the NYT for this just bc way too many people are talking about this race like it’s a squeaker that could be decided by RCV. Realistically, she’ll win fairly comfortably and even if RCV happens, it’ll be a dud

Enough for her to get a majority before RCV?

People don’t appreciate that RCV opens up new possibilities for collective practical jokes
November 6, 2026 at 5:45 AM
once voters get rcv, they always want to keep it!!

We must seize the moment.
Get rid of dinosaur Dimocrats and get true leadership.

Start now to get democracy in the upcoming 2028 primary to avoid the posers and losers being appointed by the DNC.

Ranked Choice Voting at the national level.

Ranked choice voting had a big election night:

➡️Ballot measures to adopt or keep RCV are leading in Alaska, Longmont, CO & Irvine, CA
➡️Maine & Alaska used RCV in Senate & House races
➡️14 cities & counties used RCV

More to come soon on what’s next for RCV!

Lmao Multnomah County elections’ RCV tabulator website has crashed due to high traffic

Given what is left outstanding, which will favor Peltola, and early indications that Sullivan doesn't get that much out of RCV, you'd certainly rather be Peltola at this moment. No sure thing at all, but she is in a better position going forward based on the information we know.
I’m not optimistic about Alaska. They use RCV and re-allocate if nobody gets over 50% on the first pass, but there are multiple Republicans on the ballot and I would expect most of the votes for the trailing ones to go to Sullivan.

The time for political reform has come. In the next four years, it’s time to:

- Abolish the filibuster and add DC
- Break up the 2 party system with PR in the House and RCV in the Senate
- End the electoral college
- Pack the court and take power from it
- Get money out of politics

It’s such a bizarre article. The proponents of RCV are objectively correct that RCV basically solves the problem
November 1, 2026 at 2:22 PM
PSA: the MultCo 10pm update will not include RCV election updates. Second report for RCV will be at 12AM
November 3, 2026 at 6:19 PM
Breaking: NYT analysis concludes Mary Peltola likely to win Alaska Senate race either by reaching over 50 percent or after RCV tabulation is complete.

They have RCV, weren’t those votes already reallocated?
November 6, 2026 at 11:09 PM
Every time someone posts about how our council RCV system means their choice candidate will never get elected I grow larger and stronger
November 6, 2026 at 4:44 PM
By recruiting a candidate who's impact is entirely neutralised by RCV, Democrats have shown how RCV is too confusing for voters, who are morons.
November 1, 2026 at 12:54 PM
oh my god did the rcv results site crash before I could load district 4
November 4, 2026 at 4:01 AM
THIS IS WHY WE NEED RCV EVERYWHERE
November 6, 2026 at 4:33 AM
imo it’s theoretically possible Peltola gets to 50% without needing RCV
November 4, 2026 at 2:35 PM
People treating RCV as a magical explanation for why their candidate only 'technically' lost is my drug.
I always enjoy the new post election tradition of seeing people complain that our RCV system can't possibly be good because if it was then it would have elected the people they wanted, and instead they got nothing.
