Ever been to DisneyWord?
Don’t know if ‘Haunted Mansion’ Ride/Display is STILL Running?

BUT

They’ve been using RearProjection for MUCH more complex Motion imaging since 1970’s

You can get away with a lot for 1080p gaming. I always wanted to dabble in 720p gaming but its more that its hard to find screens that have good enough pixel density that make it worthwhile unless you got one of those DLP rearprojection TVs with HDMI.

I saw "Vertigo" at the Brattle in 1993 with rearprojection. Incredible experience as the film was produced for type of projection.

I don't go to cinemas anymore. My last in-theatre film was "Prometheus", to give an idea.

i feel like if the plan for lcds were always an abstraction of crts but still cant do rearprojection RGB for a prototype without costing enough to send a rocket to the moon, crts were never meant to go & still the gold standard for color depth. theyll either come back or well keep emulating the tech

When a #sketch isn't enough, a #3d #scale #model helps us see the #perspective of the #audience for the #rearprojection #screen! Sound cool? #Help #fund it!
