Like, you know there's an internal refugee crisis facing the US with trans people fleeing their home states, right? Can you understand why trans people might be more than a little on edge, stressed, angry because of the way we're treated? Perhaps extend a little understanding and empathy.

Gwen did a fantastic job reporting on what has genuinely become an internal refugee crisis among trans people. I know I complain about Sound Transit and bike infrastructure or whatever a lot but like, making my move to Seattle when I did saved my life.
NEW: Seattle might declare a civil emergency to help LGBTQ (mostly trans) people fleeing red states, so I looked for a Texas angle. An organizer told me that Texas is #1 among trans people looking to relocate:

We could have avoided the entire 2014 refugee crisis and 3 quarters of the Syrian civil war if we had followed the French lead, who wanted to kill Assad in 2014. If the mullahs are allowed to engage in another mass slaughter, there will be another refugee crisis, possibly another civil war.
