Der RS ZERO, das jüngste Mitglied der Schienenfahrzeugfamilie von #Stadler hat Anfang März seine ersten Fahrten aus eigener Kraft absolviert. Noch kam der Strom dazu aus der Batterie, welche auch an Bord ist. Aber schon bald steht die erste Fahrt mit Strom aus dem Wasserstoffmotor an. 🚊✨ #RSZERO

@jon Funny you would say that: SNCF is trying to invent the battery version of the RS1 which runs, among other places, in Czechia – Stadler presented the RSZero which is exactly this, this summer.

@jon the Telli is basically the Stadler RSZero with half the weight, double the range and adjustable height. And the small detail that the RSZero exists as an actual prototype and will go into field testing next year.

So SNCF announced a single-carriage, electric train in Strasburg (during the Innotrans fair in Berlin). It seems to target the same market as the RSZero from Stadler – non electrified small local lines – but is smaller (30 seats vs 80) and slower (100km/h vs 120km/h).
