personally i commit them to source because no actual secrets should end up in there, just dev time config, and i like to maintain clone-and-runnability lol. these are not env files for secrets!!!
Hey #Aspire folks!

Do you add your launchSettings.json or apphost.run.json to the repository or should it be treated like a "user" file and "git-ignored"?
I might roll a dice on this...

💯 “If you’ve ever run a big marathon in your city, you’ll know the feeling can be electric. Blocked off streets, cars temporarily banished from the road and a sense of enormous freedom as you run.”

How could cities be designed to inspire more people to take up running?

Thought provoking piece👇
What makes a city great for running and how can we promote ‘runnability’ in urban design?
Even the type of street trees planted in a city can make a huge difference.

im a runnability advocate. i think cities should accomodate unmounted people hurtling through streets and sidewalks as fast as possible, and that the law should protect runners from damages incurred on the part of lollygaggers and looky-lous

An informal assessment criteria I use for ttrpgs is "do I feel like I could take this on a camping trip and run it without misplacing something vital." I don't think every game needs to meet this criteria, but I do think a game's runnability directly impacts what kind of audience it gets.

Yeah, I thought that would be the answer. 😊

I wish there was a flag in @typescriptlang.org that disables decorators entirely (for some reason `experimentalDecorators: false` doesn't work...?) so that we could use TS to totally check TS code for Node.js runnability.

Hey! Check it out! #Arrhenius is now up on the @ttrpgwiki.bsky.social.

I know Arrhenius isn't a rules lite game, so no surprise on the Complexity score. But check out those nice Accessibility and Runnability scores!

For most runners, however, running through cities on an ordinary day is not always pleasant. Planners often focus on walkability and bicycle-friendly cities, which is great to promote active transport. But we don’t generally plan cities to be good for runners.

Soudley Ponds 1977. The original event was cancelled after a very heavy snowfall (I was snowed in in Somerset for 4 days). No boar then. #ForestOfDean #NGOC #OldOrienteeringMap #OMap

Speech House North1978. Usually known as New Beechenhurst this is probably the best known bit of Dean. The map was made for the 74 JK by OK Nuts and regularly updated throughout the 70s.This event was by #NGOC but this is #BOK territory.

How can cities be more inclusive? This piece explores concepts of walkability, runnability, and rollability—urging planners and policy makers to develop spaces for all. Case studies from Portland & Bogotá show successes. But gaps remain. #MobilityJustice #UrbanPlanning

(this is a bugbear of mine, so great to see the article on the runnability of cities...for example, in Dublin, in conversations about the future use / development of the Phoenix Park, the scale of the Park's use by runners rarely gets considered)

I think it's super important we keep asking questions like: how can we design our cities to better serve our needs? A lot of these principles boil down to pedestrian-first accessibility and inclusivity. Great piece!

Bishop's Wood 1981. This Staffordshire pine wood contains the remains of an old glass factory. It was used a lot between 1976 and 1986 but has long been missing from the fixture lists. #OldOrienteeringMap #Orienteering #Map #WrekinOrienteers This was my last ever run in the #JK.

I don’t think re-runnability graduates the harness from rereading. Fixtures preserve known injuries; they can’t tell whether the harness’s categories still deserve authority, or which failures never became fixtures. Graduation moves rereading up a level—from each rule to the rule-maker.

What does "runability" mean? I can't find an explanation. I see systems that are low complexity and approachable but have low runnability. Does it mean how good it is for group ongoing play?

We need 4 things: Runnability, Controllability, Observability , Reproducibility.
I explain them, and how to have the discussion with developers and managers.
