It's a great piece of work - my lovably pedantic ex-Crossrail civil engineer friend was only able to find one tiny niggle, so you pretty much nailed it for authenticity.

Use an exacto knife to rip along the inner spine of hardcovers, to make it easier to remove the covers. Innards can be placed in the recycling bin.
Coated paper can't be recycled, so tear the covers off paperbacks before placing them in tge recycling bin.
Saddlestitched can go directly in bin.
