2026 Bonus 1:

-Cleansing-
Silken-saidar ties;
Ain’t naught else’ll wipe that taint.
Fresh, breezy [side-in].

7/ The difference between Saidin and Saidar in the show comes from the way each one appears and behaves. Saidar has a more organic and elegant flow around Female Channellers, whereas Saidin is violent and aggressive in the way it moves, almost threatening Rand

Jordan: let me tell you
Jordan: women, huh?
Jordan: who can understand them?
Jordan: bitches be chanelin’ saidar

Saidin and Saidar are fine, but I prefer to channel the true source: the Dark One's marketing essence.
when it comes to the hardcore wot fans, there are two modes of judging the amount of marketing the show puts out:

1. It's no where near enough, a sad attempt, a disastrous dereliction of duty to help the show

and

2. holy shit will you please fucking stop I can't keep up slow the fuck down

You know what's neat? The actress who played the Keeper in the flashback election of Siuan Sanche in wot is trans, which is a really interesting answer to a longstanding fandom question about who can access Saidar. The One Power says trans women are women!

Had saidar and saidin been mentioned (in English) on the show before?

Oh for sure, I was just thinking of the saidar/saidin dichotomy.

The light of saidar enveloped her, and she wove

I read this as saidar and thought "yeah, the other place was tainted by the Dark One, so that makes sense"

"Ooh but they've removed Saidin and Saidar, that's deep lore. They've Rafe'd the story"

Oh really? We're back bitches!

I loved that line, I like to think that the Sea Folk have all kinds of people channeling saidar and they say no worries babe your gender is Windfinder.

they’re just asking questions! like whether it’s too woke for a man to wield saidar

6/ Apart from the black Corruption, the One Power looks the same between Saidin (Male) and Saidar (Female) in the show. This was a deliberate artistic choice down to the fact both pull from the same True Source, as well as making things more efficient for us.

I don't remember who posted this but am grateful for it.

Keep thinking about how they cast a trans woman as an Aes Sedai Keeper in Wheel of Time. A wielder of Saidar, which translates from the Old Tongue to ‘female power’ and is a power only able to be used by women.

"Why did you transition (science fiction answers only)?"

Some dipshit fucked up saidar by doing it too hard so I had to switch elements.
"Why did you transition (science fiction answers only)?"

After Earth is assimilated by the Borg Collective the only opportunity for upward mobility is to become the queen. There's no king of the Borg
"Why did you transition (science fiction answers only)?"

I asked Corpus Services Inc. to randomise the gender on my last reanimation.
