If Knight (or another foundation) wanted to boost newsroom finances in a meaningful way, donating some money to make GIMP, Scribus and LibreOffice into real MS Office and Adobe competitors would go a long way.

On ne parle pas très souvent des logiciels alternatifs de bureautique. Scribus est un logiciel libre de publishing assez ancien mais toujours actif. La version 1.6.3 est disponible, apportant de nombreuses corrections et améliorations diverses ⬇️

Dog book soon i have to fix the text.. i reinstalled scribus and it broke all the fonts. Aside from this scribus is a rly cool opensource indesign alternative for making print ready pdfs i think, rly happy how the past few books turned out.. Ill make a process post one day
