Maybe I’m spec-chasing, but with the M4 shipping now and the M5 due late this year, why would someone drop $10k on what’s more or less last year’s technology?

Hiya Tranquil PDS hosters! Small breaking change on email config for 0.6.0. We no longer shell out to sendmail, we have the email config inline. It will hopefully be straightforward to move whatever sendmail config you had to tangled.org/tranquil.far....

Add support for sending emails with local Sendmail #6
I've run into a few problems trying to run Gatekeeper on my PDS. One thing is that I don't use SMTP for sending emails, but a local sendmail service (postfix).
I have it configured like this in `pds....

(They use a lib called "nodemailer", its docs say that to use sendmail you pass { sendmail: true }, but the PDS only accepts a string URL form… but I found in the nodemailer code that it translates URL query params to object fields

It's kinda funny that the PDS docs show how to configure sending emails through some external service called Resend, but not how to make it use a local sendmail 🫠

I can do you one better than sendmail -- I kept qmail running functionally and (mostly) able to deliver mail from 1997 until gmail finally broke me in 2021.
