When someone's reaction to the prospect of mass protest is "Oh there's no point, the Boogaloo Boyz / Cops / Troops will gun us all down", it's usually a safe bet that the person saying it is a slacktivist looking for an excuse to stay home, bong rip, and bitch about the world's injustice from bed.
