Waste is a human invention.

When a tree falls or an animal or insect dies, it becomes the nutrients for the next generation of plants thereafter. Rocks decay, which helps provide the minerals to combine with the organic matter to create new soils.

A gentle reminder not to dump your Halloween #pumpkins in our woods (or indeed anywhere!)🎃 Dumped pumpkins can disturb the sensitive balance of woodland soils. Plus removing the waste costs time & money better spent on vital conservation work. 🌱
Pumpkins belong in your food waste or compost bin.♻️🙏
