Our ballots are in a locked compartment inside the optical scanner, which we're not allowed to unlock until after the polls close. As a poll worker it's easy: "I'm sorry, I'm not allowed to unlock that compartment. You'll have to talk to the City Solicitor, the state AG, or the Board of Elections."

My solicitor ripped him a new one in court a couple of years back for being an obnoxious prick who was on his phone and disrespecting the court...now I wonder exactly what he was looking at?
