yeah, I think you have to target the human representation (SQL), so maybe SQLGlot or Calcite would be a good fit for breadth. Most likely, you'll see vendors using one SQL engine do it all first and with actual db internals & a more modern parser

Just realised I can use sqlglot library in Python in Mojo lang.
Meaning sqlglot will parse SQL, optimize and produce an execution plan and I will just need to focus on Mojo based engine.
I can write a lexer and parser in Mojo later. Optimisations are especially hard.
