The ridgeline plot shows the distribution of bank lending interest rates for house loans in #Austria. The lucky ones bought theirs in 2021. The unlucky ones in 2024. Still conditions were worse in 2008.

The figure shows the change in electricity prices in selected EU countries between Feb 2019 (pre-COVID) and Feb 2026 (post geoeconomic shocks).

The trend is mostly an increase in electricity prices but overall it is a mixed bag.
