The containership MV #Solong transited the specific spot where MT #StenaImmaculate was anchored at least a half dozen times in the past year, and a dozen times in close proximity.
It is apparent that the Solong did not target the US tanker but was not exercising prudent seamanship.

German media reports that the US vessel had its AIS system turned on. Is that correct? Secondly, one witness on board said, that the #Solong did keep engines at full throttle pushing the #StenaImmaculate 400 meters. This sounds like a purposeful Russian attack on US military ship.
