Wow - this is the first time I've seen footage of it. System16 says this was "Sega Super Circuit", and could have up to 8 players. This was probably at one of Sega's indoor theme parks like Hi-Tech Land; or well, that's the only one that matches the time frame of 87-88.

MAME will do that and has debug tools, I'm sure. @h0ffman.bsky.social has done some System16 -> NeoGeo ports on his streams. Consoles have their own weirdness to navigate too :)

Spending a few moments on system16.com (a site named after a board Sega used extensively during the 1980s, for crying out loud!) would quickly and conclusively correct all of that nonsense. I'm surprised that someone with this apparent interest in arcade games wouldn't have done that.

Oh, Power Shovel was one of the first games I played! Shame the original arcade version isn't fully emulatable yet.
