On April 20, Guangzhou announced the addition of a temporary visa-on-arrival point at the Nansha Port Passenger Terminal to serve foreign business travelers attending the 137th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair). Similar to the existing temporary visa point at the Pazhou Port Passenger Terminal, the newly added Nansha location significantly facilitates entry procedures for foreign attendees traveling to Guangzhou for the fair. During the 137th Canton Fair, the Guangzhou public security authorities have set up temporary visa-on-arrival counters at three key locations: Pazhou Port, Nansha Port, and Baiyun International Airport. Foreign attendees who did not obtain a visa abroad can now apply for a port visa upon arrival at these locations and proceed directly to the event after entry. Since the opening of the fair, more than 1,000 port visas have been issued to foreign participants across the three designated visa points.
