I have tetrachromacy. Which means I have 4 color cones in my eyes rather than the usual 3. Instead of RGB, I see RGBY. There's colors I can see that others can't even fathom.

A good read and, related, I know a woman with tetrachromacy- where us mere humans see a river as more or less the same colour she see the subtle difference in sediments changing colours in the river.

I didn't learn tetrachromacy was a real visual mutation until like a year ago. Tough luck, trichromats. At Xavier's School, we've got color theory classes that'd knock your rods right through your cones.
