I have said many times that he couldn’t pass a 7th grade US history exam. He proves it daily. bsky.app/profile/atru...
Trump: "If you look at the end of the Civil War -- the 1800s, it was a very turbulent time. If you take the end day -- was it 1869? Or whatever."

A daily motivation! In these times??

A thousand times this. The BBC would also benefit from not giving a shit what the Daily Mail has to say about anything.
One of the lessons of the last two years is that Labour urgently needs to stop being afraid of its own shadow.

Burnham should appoint whoever he thinks would be the best Chancellor and throw his authority behind them.

The Daily Mail will try to kill them anyway. So just govern.
Hard not to regard this as a classic example of a pre-emptive campaign by certain sectors, along with their media sympathisers, to discourage a new prime minister from appointing someone who might damage their interests in the long and short term.

And it will almost certainly work.

The New York Times just launched a new "newsletter about the law and the courts." They are calling it "The Docket."

The Times may not care that Democracy Docket has been publishing "On the Docket" and "Daily Docket" for years, but I believe our 400,000 subscribers might.

More on this tomorrow.

Wow. On Nov. 5th, Threads had five times more daily active users in the US than Bluesky.

Now, Threads is only 1.5 times larger.

I can see why Meta is freaking out now

I suppose the New York Times will run daily stories on this until he resigns, unless Secretary of Defense is a less newsworthy job than a college administrator?

Happy hundredth anniversary of this news headline from The Daily Times, New Philadelphia, Ohio. (July 9, 1924.)

We're at the point where the Trump does something worse than Watergate daily, often multiple times a day. And none of it makes news; it's just normal now.
In a less insane time, if it was discovered that the President of the United States said this privately to their AG, it would’ve triggered an all-encompassing, impeachable corruption scandal.

Here, Trump is saying it publicly and it’s just another Saturday.

If I can be permitted a little bit of bragging, my nephew, who is 12, wrote the daily crossword in today's LA Times and it's really good. www.latimes.com/games/daily-...

Another daily reminder that you should treat anyone who works for the New York Times as if they work at Fox News.

Do the Daily News before the Times.
The real flex would be an interview blitz with everyone except nyt and wapo. Give harris people, teen vogue, philly inq, la times. Do a joint one for fun with star trib. Give walz a solo in the new yorker and let his earnestness play off chotiner's archness. Cope and seethe sulzy

Bluesky now has seven times the active daily users it had on Wednesday.

Even if 85% of these new users drift away, it’s now permanently twice as busy here.

Interesting reference just now to "the left-leaning Daily Mirror" on the Today Programme.

I hope this practice is going to become routine, & that we'll be reminded of the political affiliations of The Daily Telegraph, The Mail, The Sun, The Express & The Times. It would actually be quite healthy.

Impeach daily if you have to, filibuster even when you don’t need to, disrupt the process as much as possible. These are not normal times and this is not a normal government.
