You see this when people brag about how coding agents are "tireless" without understanding that this tirelessness is why agent-built systems fail much later and in much more catastrophic ways. The negative feedback loop naturally present in humans is off in agents *and they want to keep it off*

related point is that because mechanical intelligence has so many intrinsic advantages-- speed, tirelessness, perfect recall, copyability [basically Speed + Scale from bostroms speed/scale/quality typology], necessarily it MUST have shortcomings in some area to be "AGI" level, else it would be ASI
I think there's a level vs shape distinction and intelligence isn't a simple linear scale. AGI as human "level" falls apart because it implies human shaped. We could have arguably ASI which is still not human shaped and therefore we still hire humans etc.
If AI companies are still hiring humans, having humans use or direct AI coding systems, and having humans make the final decisions, then human-level AGI isn't here.

there are many ways to frame the “tirelessness” of AI but they deliberately chose to do it by mocking real people’s desire to have a home life because they thought that would hit home hardest for tech firm leadership

None of us know the world without Jane Goodall in it, evidenced by the global flood of tributes after her passing. At the Rewilding Institute, some of us interviewed her, some met her briefly, and all of us remain inspired by her. Notable were her words of hope, resilience, tirelessness & tenacity.
