As China adopts Virtual Power Plants (VPPs), will the U.S. be next?

VPPs digitally connect assets like EV chargers, smart thermostats, and batteries to support the grid. This provides reliable, clean power at a fraction of the cost of traditional plants.

Traditional army logistics are changing forever.

With drones targeting any exposed vehicle, it will become standard for armies to build extensive anti-drone net tunnels over roads and move high-value assets underground, physically blocking airborne threats wherever possible

Here's a question: why is it that these AI companies are never actually acquired through traditional means? Is it because their actual assets are such trash that buying them would acquire a bunch of debt too? Is it because their actual IP and companies are not worth real money, but their people are?

In the early days of Russia's war, the EU, in close coordination with G7 allies, agreed to immobilise the assets of the Russian Central Bank.

This was done under traditional EU sanctions, which depend on unanimity. Since then, the sanctions have been renewed every 6 months.

What skills/assets are you bringing to the post-apocalyptic commune/bunker/nomadic survival crew?

I am a classically trained chef, baker, cheesemaker, homebrewer (wine, cider, mead, beer and skilled at distilling spirits), musician (drums, guitar, bass, uke), and traditional archer.
What skills/assets are you bringing to the post-apocalyptic commune/bunker/nomadic survival crew?

Last pixels of this mutated plant and it's ready for the game.
In pixel art, I like doing organic assets the most as it feels so close to traditional painting.

Gold's record rally continues this morning, alongside new highs for stocks and well-behaved bond yields.
In other words, investors are being rewarded on both their traditional 'risk-on' and 'risk-off' assets.

5/7 Defending against Russian deep strikes is not enough. Europe must build and scale long-range strike capabilities to hit targets deep within Russian territory. At the same time, traditional assets like frigates remain relevant for global missions even as their roles adapt in narrow contested seas

We have 130 billionaires in Germany.

Oxfam: There are two main ways in which the billionaire fortunes of these individuals have materialised. Either through an increase in the value of assets such as company shares or through the acquisition of existing family assets, i.e. traditional inheritance.

Highkey on this note though, it is intensely funny that Tatsunoko's approach to saving money was to do a traditional mecha action show within the Time Bokan formula because they allowed them to use more stock footage and reused assets compared to past shows

Most Trump voters are traditional Republican neocons.

The isolationist minority is just louder online, amplified by russian/chinese/iranian disinfo ops and assets (Tucker Carlson and many others), and by Trump himself.

True (mostly pro-russian) isolationists are a small but loud minority

The series of events that resulted in Swalwell's downfall bring up a really interesting (and depressing) conversation about traditional media vs. independent and how money in journalism controls who has the safety to tell the truth
