Fair play to Eurostar. After being stranded in Amsterdam after King's day they have refunded my ticket, the hotel room I didn't use and booked in error, train, tram and ferry home. Always use #trainsnotplanes if you can. Plus you might bump into @eurostarjustin.bsky.social who is ace.
Well this doesn't look good. If anyone can find out what's going on with Eurostar out of Amsterdam I'd be grateful 👍

Accompanied by several cars and motorbikes which you can inspect while waiting for the bathroom, we arrive in Split on time. An hour's layover is just enough time for a quick amble around what was Roman emperor Diocletian's retirement palace before the ferry to #Hvar. Ferries or #TrainsNotPlanes

Yesterday was a travelling home day as you can tell by the expression on my face 😂
I took a total of 7 trains from Basel SBB to Wolverhampton.
I arrived back home about 30 minutes late.
Another #Interrail #CrossBorderRail #Trainsnotplanes adventure comes to a close 🇨🇭 🛤️

All good things come to an end. The journey home to the UK from the Tarn begins with a train from Lavaur to Toulouse. The views in the early morning sunshine are gorgeous.🌻🌻🌻🌻

Split in Croatia... although the train right after looks enticing, perhaps for more peaceful times. Incredibly efficient boarding - train arrived 1902, we left 1910.

But ÖBB has other ideas, with our sleeper to Vienna now leaving from Aachen instead. Deutsche Bahn left to pick up the pieces as we race across the border. Heavy bags mean sightseeing options limited but I became obsessed w/ this building next to Hbf @richardmortimer.bsky.social
