Took my TruSDX out for my first POTA of the year. It was my first time taking it out into the field, what a great little radio! The bands were slow but managed to get enough to activate, and by the end the contacts started really picking up. Very impressive for 5 watts.

It's just a fact that my little $130 truSDX does some things better than the Yaesu FT100 that would cost $500 or so. Not everything, but some.

I love that Trusdx, and it's let me do a lot of fun things. I wish the high bands were the default instead of the other way around, but.... I'm glad to have 40. But apparently the finals gave up the ghost. No power output at all.

J'ai commencé à tester le trusdx pour mon frère qui débute et franchement c'est assez bluffant de qualité, aussi bien hardware que software. Pour ce prix c'est imbattable et super réparable :)

i like dense and legible structured information which communicates with clarity and efficiency. One example is the printed circuit board design of this HF radio. Another might be the FT8 digital messages it can transmit. Life is also information dense. #qrp #hamradio #trusdx #electronics #ft8

Similar situation. My most capable radio right now is my trusdx, which can't do 10m. Looking at either a G90 or a X6100, but probably not for a few more months. Trying to make do with what I got - I've seen some suggest using Morse Runner to practice simulated QSOs to stay sharp in the meantime.

If all goes well, Christmas Day will change my status in that regard unless Santa loses my G90. I've got transistors to try to fix my Trusdx, too, but my dad's surgery and various other things have interfered with tearing it apart. I like local repeaters, but there's no sense of adventure involved.
