A stone milemarker at Crostorphine on the main road between Glasgow and Edinburgh. It probably dates back to the 18th century, and the birth of the Scottish turnpike era.

Tolls are just another form of taxation and a regressive on at that.. The Repubs that run this state always want to reduce income taxes, which means they have to increase income elsewhere.

Tried to read an article on how US could improve rest stops but the guy keeps saying about them "get in, get gas, get out" but in most places a rest stop is public restrooms of varied horrors and vending machines? They only have gas or fast food on some turnpikes? Am I driving a different US
