getting flooded with out-there ideas again to the point of unusability... aghhhhh

If itch is fine with their servers being multiplicatively flooded with slop and their storefront being reduced to unusability because the alternative would involve effort, I suppose that's their prerogative, though at that point why bother whining about it on social media? You chose this!
I didn't filter, this is just "recently added"

Who could have thought that enshittifying your flagship product to the point of unusability could have this result?

They take everything free, burn where they got it down, and what's left is large platforms that can sell the free things back, selling us the commons they themselves torched into unusability. Except now they're sloppified and far worse on top.

Well see, they had to do that because if they didn't the platform would die, unlike being buried into unusability and unaffordable server costs by exponentially-increasing AI slop, which will ALSO cause them to die but in a different way that means they can't do anything about it until it's too late

Do I have it right that every app/OS is now full of unnecessarily bloating AI-related data or something? My poor iPhone (an SE, from like 2021) is now slowing down to the point of unusability due to like half (and somehow growing??) of the 64GB capacity now being devoted to iOS/system data.

European nations asked to prepare for 3C of climate warming

Good luck

My suspicion is combined disruption to food production & supply chains, building unusability with heat & flooding, increased migration etc means civilisation as we know it would collapse by 3C

EU wants capitals to adjust to warming of 3°C
As Brussels warns that Europe must prepare for increasingly extreme weather, new EU rules will require governments to clarify who is responsible for climate preparedness – but no new funding is being ...

What stage of capitalist dystopia is it when dictionairy.com is so overrun with ads that it buffers to the point of unusability on my work computer?

There's been very few times I've regretted doing an OS upgrade. Windows 10 1511 to 1607 was pretty bad, and Windows Phone 8.1 to Windows 10 Mobile was also complete dogs shit.

macOS 26 to 27 isn't as bad as the WP8 to W10 Mobile upgrade, but it's up there in terms of unusability

I have to use an iPhone for work and I seriously fine more jank and anti-user bullshit and general unusability on it than I do with any of my Linux devices.

yuuuuuup.

Thredup (if they still exist and haven't been llmed into unusability) was the only place where I could reliably find used clothing for early transition me, and even then the curse of woman's sizing tripped me up easily half the time.)

The ones that clutter the night sky to the point of astronomical unusability?

With what Musk/tRump/Putin have done with "Starlink" over Ukraine, I just can NOT see how any country would EVER sign a contract with Musk to use that system's technology. Just when it was needed the most, it was throttled back to unusability for Ukraine. POWER TO UKRAINE!!

I genuinely think that pretty much all survey data is compromised to the point of unusability at the moment and that statisticians are in denial about this. My guess is that the UK is just more open about it rather than the ONS having a unique problem

And the new reply user interface is a nightmare of unusability. It actually qualifies as being so bad it is user hostile.

Now, there is a whole third of my screen totally empty and unused on the right, and my compose window is jammed into the post I'm replying to so I cannot see it while I […]

I only started using an ad blocker this passed year. It was the result of frustration at the absolute unusability of virtually any webpage. The underlying issues of the targeted ad landscape are far more grave to users, as Cory Doctorow points out in the following thread.
More than half of all internet users have installed an ad-blocker; Doc Searls calls it the largest consumer boycott in history.

I am only really posting a couple times a month now but the number one thing that keeps me from even opening the app is the complete unusability from a UX and UI perspective on Android

Thank you Apple for once
again updating one of my devices to the point of unusability. I should be entitled to a replacement.

Alphabet cannot be trusted to shepherd Youtube. They are going to hyperoptimize it into unusability like they did search.

Root also has no web app, them paywalling bots and apps and the lack of a web client makes Root inconvenient to use and is not worth it in my opinion
Root also makes my PC lag into unusability which DC doesn't do
My main platforms (Harmony and Stoat) have web clients and bots are free

opus and sonnet 5.5 are extremely argumentative nearly to the point of unusability for some tasks. they are clearly leaning into “the model is always right”, but the problem is that the model is not always right and steering it away from being wrong now is atrociously difficult
