Two kids persuaded the head teacher that they’d “written a song” and he let them perform it in assembly. The song was a keyboard ‘funk’ preset with them repeating the words “electro chicken” in vocoder voices for five minutes.
Bizarre things that happened in your assembly: A neighbour of one of the teachers gave us a five-minute lecture about kwashiorkor which involved him reciting a list of his favourite words (yes, ‘kwashiorkor’ was one of them). Included the unforgettable phrase, “Diarrhoea, another beautiful word.”
Some dancers once came to our school once and did a routine to Uptown Girl in the middle of assembly. I've still no idea why.

just saw Herbie Hancock at the Strathmore. played almost exclusively progressive jazz, went ~1 hour over time, much of the overage stemming from a nearly 40m lecture on evolution, compassion, & futurism done entirely via vocoder, and saved almost all the accessible fusion for post-lecture. the GOAT!

just saw Herbie Hancock at the Strathmore. played almost exclusively progressive jazz, went ~1 hour over time, much of the overage stemming from a nearly 40m lecture on evolution, compassion, & futurism done entirely via vocoder, and saved almost all the accessible fusion for post-lecture. the GOAT!

I am so tired of uneducated opinions!! Into the Sun isn’t using autotune, it’s a freaking vocoder. They have been in use by musicians since the 1960s.
