In 2020, @walabor stupidly allowed Woodside’s North West Shelf gas EXPORT terminal to EXPORT WAs domestic gas reserves from Waitsia, which exposed WA to global gas prices and tripled WA gas and electricity bills.

The rub here is that the 20 million tonnes of GHG emissions that could be avoided by phasing out coal by 2030 is completely swamped by the 6 billion tonnes of GHG from Woodside's Burrup Hub with the @WAlabor mandate to continue full-scale production of LNG to 2070.

The gas demand that @WAlabor government says has to be met in Asia is consistent with @IEA current policy projections (STEPs) that would result in global warming of 2.4°C or more. With that level of warming there is no chance of Ningaloo or other tropical reefs surviving.
