If the government is pondering legal action against OpenAI they’ll soon discover the incident won’t meet the threshold for criminal liability. So they’ll go for legislative amendments, which will attempt to recategorise Google dorking and webscraping as unlawful. Bad outcome

Update: as of today I am officially 50% done with this very long webscraping project.
Also, in case you were wondering, since January of 2008, the city of Los Angeles has held 10,227 public meetings for which there are Agendas available. Which is a thing I know now.

we should also see how AI and webscrapers have made so much noise that human made of all of these are harder to find, maintain. public good websites like the design library become expensive while under siege of constant webscraping attacks.
