windows didn't drop glass for performance??? win10 and 11 have even more blur than win7 did it's just even more pointless now because it's obscured behind thick mostly-opaque windowframes

So, whether in a film or on the street, if you ever see a historic Italian city and walk along a block where for some reason one chunk of wall is stone and all the others smooth, you're probably looking at a relic of the faction feuds that Guido Ruggiero aptly calls "The Italian 300 Years' War" 12/?

we live in a bushy area of Auckland which means lots of bugs and lots of birds who enjoy eating bugs
spiders on windowframes (outside, usually) are a particularly yummy target for tūī like this chonker who was singing away right behind me just now
(nearly flew into the house at the end there haha)

I’ve had the last sticky bun for breakfast.
Looks like it’s going to be too wet for sanding and painting my external windowframes again. Indoor painting it is then. Or I might just laze about looking at air fryer/microwave combinations online. Does anyone have a recommendation?
