Also -- this is Alaska. there's a massive windstorm shutting down Anchorage today, deep freezes and typhoons rolling in, and sometimes bears in cars. Vote early! I did.

Anyone remember the windstorm that impacted the Puget Sound region on November 2, 2013? It was one of our "garden-variety" wind events that we see a few times throughout the season, but it did bring widespread impacts. #wawx

Maybe I’ll get speared by a widowmaker next windstorm or megaquake, but that’s a more acceptable risk than living my so-called life in a city where the life of the land has been crushed by concrete. If there is something like a god, we commune only through forests and other healthy landscapes. 🌲

In the past 6 weeks we have had 3 bad storms out of season, 2 rain and one wind. The first rainstorm & the windstorm were proceeded by days of warnings on the news & coverage of what was going to happen & why. This one, which has dropped inches and inches of rain, feels like it came out of nowhere!

Technically nothing substantive can be achieved yet without considerable help from across the aisle. If that help isn’t there it is not worth a fart in a windstorm.

I live in a coastal forest area where a windstorm can knock a tree over, blocking access to outside world for a while. We have a generator and always keep 3-5 days supply of everything on hand. It sure can't hurt for everyone to stock up a bit.

During a windstorm 30. October 2026 his thin hair exposed, while he boarded the plane. He’s so vain with his different front hair pieces and holding it in place with spry, but forgets his backside and oopsie whoopsie—there goes the hidden view of his vanity.
