Now working on women who wrote -- #WomenWrote! Fantabulous Glikl, whose memoirs (1691-1719) have been recently republished by Chava Turniansky and translator Sara Friedman, did in fact grow from a context of others women's writing. ingeveb.org/articles/wom... #Yiddish #JewishHistory 2/

My work on #Glikl & additional #WomenWhoWrote (yes, #WomenWrote) grew out of *To Tell Their Children*, where I sought out ways women used written and #materialculture to preserve & tell about their own pasts--including Beila Perlhefter, 1 of the stars of "Women Wrote: Glikl in Context"
