OH MY GOD it's dark pac-man. I cannot believe we are back in the land of 2006 style XBLA gritty reboots. Amazing. No notes.

'Girl Fight' released on this day in 2013.

A mediocre 3D fighter downloadable by way of PSN / XBLA. Attempts to traffic in the same sort of sex appeal as a 'Dead or Alive,' but ultimately falls flat in terms of mechanics and production value.

just figured folk should know that the ""recompilation"" that just came out for the unreleased XBLA version of 'GoldenEye 007' is a vibe-coded piece of fucking garbage with completely broken mouse support that runs worse than just running the goddamn thing in xenia like folk have done for years lmao

Golf: Tee It Up on XBLA was a banger. Mid-air ball control basically made the challenge of every hole, once you got good, nailing the pole to sink a hole-in-one or eagle from a 100+ yard drive

Just want to make sure that people know that games released on Xbox (XBLA) in 2008 were not the first indie games and did not create the indie game scene. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

'Yaris' released on this day in 2007.

A free XBLA advergame intended to promote a line of Toyota vehicles, by depicting them as carrying an assortment of laser weapons fit to fend off foes. Delisted after a year due to overwhelming negative reception / widespread mockery.

Not to start a discourse about this again, but having seen folks genuinely argue that XBLA Indies was what "started" the indie game trend, when it was very clearly emulating the doujin scene that was already a thing for well over a decade, infuriates me.
Also, I know not who “the father of indie gaming” is or if such a person could even be singled out, but if they could, it probably wasn’t someone who was in elementary school when the first indie gaming boom happened
