if you’re playing or watching someone play road to empress and you like it, consider checking out story of yanxi palace! it’s an excellent 50-episode historical chinese drama about palace life in the court of the qianlong emperor (during the qing dynasty) - it’s sooo good!

Started Yanxi Palace as my new treadmill show, and if MY husband gave me a plaque to hang up in my room exhorting me to cultivate inner discipline, I would simply bop him over the head with it or poke him with my sharp stabby Qing dynasty nail guards, is this why I would not be a good empress?

Started Yanxi Palace as my new treadmill show, and if MY husband gave me a plaque to hang up in my room exhorting me to cultivate inner discipline, I would simply bop him over the head with it or poke him with my sharp stabby Qing dynasty nail guards, is this why I would not be a good empress?

I'm sorry ZXC and LHY, but Hu YiTian is ruining me. His Gu Yanxi is so nuanced. He is ruthless, capable, and compassionate. And the way he is smitten. I'm sorry but this here is why I read and write romance.
Okay seriously, Hu YiTian walked into my brain, looked at ZXC and LHY and said "hold my beer" as he marched into my heart and dammit how did this happen?!?
Finished The Blood of Youth yesterday and Li HongYi is trying to edge out Zhang XinCheng as my favorite C-drama actor. I'm now watching Blossoms in Adversity and now Hu YiTian is coming at me like "you think those two are good? Watch me."
