Next time Trump tells a reporter he deserves recognition for taking care of the Kennedy Center, I'd love for a follow up that simply asks "isn't it your job to administer the government?"

When an industry *asks* to be regulated, then maybe you shouldn't fall back on the standard talking points.

We should all recognize that the recognition you get for administering federal law is….the title of President and its associated benefits. You don’t get to use the office to hold government hostage to extract additional perks.

The courts are unlikely to let people use Bivens widely, but they should. This is how it should work if the executive branch is going to countenance or encourage abusive behavior.
