Sigh. We fucking warned you.

Kevin would do a better job of running the State Department than the current bunch. danieldrezner.substack.com/p/the-beclow...

No, @anamariecox.com and I have actually recorded a bunch of episodes from this summer, but there’s been a slight hiccup on the editing side of things.
STN seems to have gone dormant. Too much else going on i guess.

You will!
Thought it was terrifically inventive as far as the blood and gore horror aspect, but not much to it beyond general sympathy for the main character as a working stiff completely overwhelmed by events. Hope we get a Space the Nation ep out of it though, so y’all can point out what I’ve missed!

Trump misstating and touting a meaningless deal over Greenland, while the entire Middle East security architecture falls apart due to his own actions, is emblematic of this administration’s foreign policy.

To be clear, this isn’t as good as Shaun of the Dead and the laughs come from a crueler place. But like Edgar Wright, Zach Cregger elevates the material with some very interesting direction.

@dandrezner.bsky.social writes that "one would assume that State would at least be trying to cushion the myriad strategic blows the world has inflicted on this administration. The thing is, by all accounts the State Department is badly adrift."

My verdict: RESIDENT EVIL was a lot of fun to see in a theater, and I haven’t laughed as hard at a zombie flick since SHAUN OF THE DEAD.
Okay, time to find out just how evil this resident really is.

Trump: "We're also going to be demanding the drug companies, with respect to a certain situation -- the autism -- that they make their doses in 20% shots. So you have shot 1, shot 2, shot 3, shot 4, shot 5 ... I think you're gonna see a massive reduction in autism"

This is an extremely infuriating aspect of everything going on: all these guys feel free to act in lawless ways, in expectation of pardons. And Trump will in fact pardon them! It's not clear what can really be done about it.
