Picking this project back up: it's a 2d #pixelart style Invaders + Tower Defense game. The original game was written in C++ and #allegro around 2006 by someone else. My version is implemented from scratch in #ziglang 0.16.0 and #raylib 6.0.

Damn, I installed Transmission on MacOS and that thing was barely able to chew through 5 megabytes of data after running it for 30 minutes.
Downloaded github.com/cenkalti/rain and that thing downloaded 6gigs in a matter of 8 minutes. Another win for software built-in in #golang.
