we all need to be more comfortable acknowledging that queerness is a lived experience and a material reality and the way other random people view you and the relationship you're in does actually matter and has real implications to how you navigate the world
fascinated by the logic that one member of a relationship being queer MAKES it a queer relationship. i think that's a nice way to think about it, but it's also objectively untrue a lot of the time

Honestly, this seems like the centre of fascism, to me. Not only in because the disparity in treating in-groups versus out-groups is exactly the point, but beyond that, the idea of intellectual consistenty is anathema to them.

Please learn that "you don't apply the same rules to yourself as you do to others" isn't "exposing" conservatives, and definitely not an effective means of shaming them. They are very intentional and deliberate about this! It's an exercise of power, of deeming themselves exceptional and superior.

Thinking about how Brazil's electoral administration is so sophisticated and independent that Bolsonaro's only means of combatting it was to (try to) sow distrust in his own reelection. Institutions, people.
This is pretty fucking wild. I had assumed in a worst case scenario he would target blue zip codes and toss ballots based on technicalities but this is even worse than I imagined.
