Kuip...."walked out to right field and, alongside the “Atta Babe, Kruk!” sign attached to the wall, put up a stick figure of himself including a “boiler” (big belly) and four letters: “KUIP.”

It made Krukow howl when he saw it. Up to that point, he admitted he felt a strong sense of melancholy."
Typical Mike friggin’ Krukow.

He had the chance to pat himself on the back. Sing his praises. Blow his horn. Boast, brag, flaunt, and gloat.

And what did he do?

He saluted everyone else.

Thoughts on an unforgettable valentine to a Giants legend:

“you can’t say shit like that” will almost always do the trick in my experience but i also think a huge part of the problem is not just bullying guys out of being assholes (a good thing) but also modeling something positive for them to emulate (better). it’s not enough to not be toxic. we need more.
I would like to see more men talking about how to and peer pressuring each other into calling out misogyny and rape culture. Going against social norms is hard, and it helps to share tips and support.

The thing about wondering if this game is "tainted" because of bad calls or if it's a "legitimate win" is that the Broncos are a ridiculous team who shouldn't ever win anything and their every victory is a burlesque parody of football, every one of our wins is an affront to God. #GoBroncos

My grandma learned baseball later in life - from Kruk & Kuip, tuning in for almost every game in her final 15 years

It wasn’t just that baseball was there when she needed its cadence & companionship most, it’s that it was THIS duo

Forever grateful for their impact. On the game, and my family 🧡

Aaron Sorkin is the Josh McDaniels of screenwriters
The thing about Aaron Sorkin is I don’t think he’s without talent he just needs to be paired with a director who is a bigger name that can take or leave what he writes and edit out the stuff that you roll your eyes at, lots of talented writers are like that. Stephen King adaptations are like that.

As a 49er kid growing up, Barry just memorized me. Did things that I had never seen before, weekly.
I grew up on Barry Sanders, broke VHS highlights rewinding them so much, etc

There'll never be another 20, but I really never, ever, thought there'd be another back in Detroit -- let alone the NFL -- who even reminded me of him. Starting to be a weekly thing w/ Gibbs

Beyond the fact that it’s incredibly illegal and corrupt to use taxpayer dollars to run political ads on television, there’s another problem with re-running old ads like this: the messaging only reminds everyone what a fraud you are.
