I tend to not comment a lot about IEPs as much as I could. 1. I get ranty. 2. If I were to impart anything I would overthink because there is so much info there and only so many characters.

"people are anthropomorphizing LLMs because they are so astonishingly good at processing human thought and language" people will anthropomorphize a chair if you put the stitches in the right place.

I had 3 things in my favor:
1. Not my first kid.
2. Early health problems meant we got in with county services very early.
3. I had friends. Some were parents who dealt w/IEPs, some were case managers/aides/teachers.

People very rarely sit down and explain this shit to parents of toddlers and preschoolers with disabilities and there needs to be a whole lot more education and public awareness about the importance of getting your kid enrolled in public services early.
We also need to fund it!!!

Some day I will have a crow army. Or a mutually beneficial crow partnership. Whatever. It's happening. Concern over the neighbors I have who are nice is all that holds me back.

You rube. You simple child of the land. Dolly Parton wasn't just a celebrity. She did more material good in her life, with her own money, than anyone we literally elect to serve us.

She also could tell a fuckin story
![When the 1974 recording of the song reached number one on the country charts, Elvis Presley indicated that he wanted to record the song.
Parton was interested until Presley's manager, Colonel Tom Parker, told her that it was standard procedure for the songwriter to sign over half of the publishing rights to any song Elvis recorded.
[28] Parton refused. She recalls:
I said, 'I'm really sorry,' and I cried all night. I mean, it was like the worst thing. You know, it's like, Oh, my God... Elvis Presley.' And other people were saying, 'You're nuts. It's Elvis Presley!'...I said, 'I can't do that.
Something in my heart says, 'Don't do that. And I just didn't do it... He would have killed it. But anyway, so he didn't. Then when Whitney [Houston's version] came out, I made enough money to buy Graceland. 29]](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_thumbnail/plain/did:plc:oxplkzuausfufk5dthatrd5m/bafkreihq5mquwwvljjtys7fyqpnwvzj4cnfrkinrrbuhflwrdkxerzcghi)

Dolly Parton was not a billionaire, because multi-millionaires who are good people like her never get past that last finish line. Not when there are kids who need books to read and sick people who need vaccines.
every billionaire & tech mogul, they all want to be adored & celebrated without doing the things Dolly did with a fraction of the power & money. What she had, she gave away. I'm sure she was comfortable (& that's good!). But she just relentlessly helped. It's not that difficult. Love. Care. Help. 💚🌸
