If you’re if Sacramento or nearby, please consider joining a group of voice actors, performers, artists and writers to demand transparency from GenAi companies with AB-412!

Rsvp for more info and please if you can go! Your presence can make all the difference!
Our Voices are NOT their trade secret.

Join NAVA in person THIS MONDAY 3pm at the Capitol in Sacramento to show your support for AB412, the AI Transparency Act.

We need your voices in that room to show how much the voice over community cares.

Before you see Mandalorian and Grogu, you need to see every episode of the series, all the movies, comic books and novelizations. Same was true in the 60s: you had to watch Green Acres AND The Beverly Hillbillies AND Petticoat Junction or lose track of Hooterville Cinematic Universe continuity.

l'm ardently opposed to the idea that the AI plagiarism algorithm will somehow "replace" human creativity!

But this stirring rebuttal expresses it more eloquently than I could. It delves into film cinematography, but I was moved by the end:

Love friends of the library book sales! I always find great scifi books.

But lately I also check the vintage kid's books. Today's was the best haul yet! Cool retro space books!

I'm working on a book cover commission and the brief calls for a monster that's like a spider but without a head or thorax. One idea was a daddy long legs like creature. It got rejected, but you can enjoy it anyway!

Yesterday's thrift store haul. Vallejo paint rack for $5. TARDIS jewelry box (will reuse for a Dr. Who action figure.)
And something not often seen: a manual receipt/note machine from the 1940s. A roll of paper inside pulls through front slot. Tear off when done!

The effective federal corporate income tax rate:

1950: 50%
1990: 25%
2020: 13%

Stop asking "but how we will pay for it?" Restore the corporate tax rate.

That is how we will pay for it.

Talpra magyar! (Rise Hungarian!)

Petőfi Sándor's famous anthem called Hungarians to revolt against the Austrians in 1848. Though ultimately they failed, his cherished poem is just as relevant today as Hungarians finally tossed off Orbán’s yoke! (1/2)

My fellow writers might not want to hear this, but AI is a useful tool for certain aspects of the craft, like for instance when you’re engaged in the process of being a talentless shitbag hack who is too lazy to do any fucking writing.

This is my dog.

The same animal that burns with the eternal rage of a thousand suns when the UPS truck shows up.

Cowering at my feet and shaking in fear because there's a fly in the house.

A FLY... 🙄
