RIP Margaret Hamilton, the software engineer who put human feet on the moon and an inspirational woman.

She also serves as a reminder that society will always do its best to airbrush women out of history. Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin may have walked on the moon but they couldn't have without her.

Tommy Robinson: 2 active charges.
Russell Brand: 7 active charges
Danny Tommo: 8 active charges
Andrew Tate: 42 active charges

Note that all 5 have publicly embraced performative christianity in recent years.

Often, when services such as health services are privatised/outsourced, it initially looks as if it’s cheaper. But what happens is that NHS in-house expertise is lost & private firms, having the NHS over a barrel, ramp up prices.

Can see this too with Care Homes, almost all of which are privatised.
So true! 😫
And once it’s sold off it becomes ‘too expensive’ for state to buy back, even if the privatised firms are banktupt and breach all conditions. It’s such a con!

Britain chose to leave the EU.

Yet politicians and commentators still talk as though we should retain a say in how Europe runs itself.

Niall Ó Conghaile asks whether Britain has really understood what being outside means.
Britain still hasn’t learnt what being outside the EU means
Closer ties with Europe require Britain to abandon exceptionalism and understand what being outside the EU means

What a mess!

“The resolution as voted yesterday goes against our agreed positions of the EGP and its Member Parties, therefore as EGP we unequivocally distance ourselves from it… we demand clarity from the leadership and parliamentary group of GPEW, to understand the official party policy.”

Gotta say until you read the actual motion it's not clear just how rabid the Greens' positioning is. The motion calls for the end of the State of Israel.

Just so dispiriting to watch the Greens be corrupted by the same poison that took over Labour. All the same shit: the excuses, the mealy-mouthed justifications, the tortured position statements, the deafening silences.
Like a historical reenactment.

So WHY CAN’t WE?
I’d like some new teeth please.
And new cartilage behind my patellae, while we’re at it.
Whoever the creator* was, they were a bit sloppy.

*Spoiler: there wasn’t one. Our bodies were assembled piecemeal over millions of years by a process (Natural Selection).
Most mammals replace their teeth only once. A new, carnivorous, semiaquatic fossil mammal from the Early Cretaceous of China reveals multiple tooth generations, enhancing our understanding of mammal dental evolution, according to a paper in Nature Communications. go.nature.com/4ALPDFx #Paleosky 🧪
