If I'd been born in the fifteenth century, they would've accused me of being a witch.

Lover of books, music, cats & the unusual. Not necessarily in that order. Writer, reader & procrastinator extraordinaire.

Seeking a little less ugliness in the world ❤️

If you were in the fantasy section of a bookshop/ library/ online store, and picked up/ clicked on read sample and these were the first words written underneath 'chapter 1', would you keep reading?

Getting there...18 chapters of 'I hope I haven't missed anything on what has to be the very last pass' tinkering left to go 😵‍💫

But then book 1 will finally be ready...🤞

Going for eclectic, random reading suggestions this year to take my mind off all the series I've started but are yet to be finished!

What does your TBR pile contain?

True, so very true.

What are you currently reading?

Read anything I might not have heard of before? #SFF #Quirky #Literature #Classics #OldOrNew

How do you read so many books?
I am simply trying to avoid reality. What are you doing?

Scanning the author notes of R.F. Kuang's Babel this morning and had to stop for a chuckle at this little nugget, which is perfect in both its complexity and its simplicity!

*Should all works of fiction come with this disclaimer?

If you find any other inconsistencies, feel free to remind yourself this is a work of fiction.

Me: (Smug face) Definitely learnt my lesson. Won't start reading till series is finished.

Me: (Fingers twitching) Nope, absolutely not...

(Reads 1st book in a day)

Me again: (Looking up when next book's due & finding there's no date yet) What is wrong with me?

With the new year fast approaching, & having finally achieved all my major life goals except one this year, I've spent the last few weeks rejigging my to-do list. So, going forwards, my top goal is to work towards self publishing.

Decisions...
Do I submit my short stories to various publications etc
OR
Do I publish them on my own blog & try to build up a supportive #WritingCommunity where I also offer new writers the opportunity to post their own stories & share #Editing/ #Proofreading opportunities etc
Details TBC

Thoughts?
