Fascinating talk this afternoon at the Scottish Interest Group (Greater Wellington) from Dr Sarah van Eyndhoven on her research into the use of the Scots language by 19th cent Scottish settlers in NZ. Interesting comparisons between use of Scots and NZ/Māori in their letters. #genealogy
