One interesting use case for Atproto Spaces is as a universal app syncing backend.
Concrete consequences:
- Devs don’t need to build a custom cloud backend.
- No need to rely on a third-party, often US-based.
- Syncing can happen between platforms and OSes seamlessly.
- Apps can share data!

Threads accounts for approximately 22% of inbound traffic to some of my projects.
Something like 20% of global traffic on Threads is from Taiwan (where I live). Meta has a lock on Taiwanese social media.

Two possibilities:
—Threads is becoming the dominant text-based social media app even though nobody you’ve ever met has ever used Threads
—Meta is doing some funky math and just counting people who use their Instagram accounts as active Threads users

I wanna see Popfeed feeds, Tangled feeds, Standard.site feeds, event feeds, link feeds, etc, etc. This should make it easier to adopt the same patterns across all, and empower feed generator platforms like @graze.social support non-bluesky lexicons.
