okay. i'm going to do some posts leftists like: iranian crude is actually fantastic. they produce everything within the medium-light to medium-heavy band which is useful for producing everything from gasoline to bunker fuel. in addition the sulfur fraction is kind of low.

i am somewhat confused about the legal theory here, insofar as X does not claim an exclusive license to the tweets
nitter.net is down. xcancel.com may go soon, too. all the respect to the folks at nitter for their services so far, but to be honest, X completely locking itself out of the web is probably a net positive for us all in the long term

paying off the debt under clinton would have absolutely annihilated the economy, if for no other reason than that we were preparing to do our monetary policy directly via mortgate-backed securities
What do you think this is? Clinton's America?

also, the public salience of trans girls playing sports is incredibly low. the public salience of say, data centers, is incredibly high. strange that a “popularist” cannot see this. almost as if “popularism” is a way to smuggle ones preferences in to politics as somehow objective.

It's very important that we defend the right of race scientists to hold academic sinecures, or else we open the door to attacks on the freedom of academic disciplines like gender studies and African-American history, which have already been banned.

one of the many, many things to hate about this admin is the way in which all of these unqualified idiot cabinet heads have no real responsibilities related to their official portfolios and just make the rounds on cable news as uninformed gadfly mouthpieces

It’s so bizarre when you encounter this in the wild with Normies too, like, they’ll genuinely truly believe that Trump could not have materially made their lives worse, and so they don’t understand, like genuinely are incapable of understanding, what is currently happening
The median American voter, voted for it be 2019 again and for Trump to make them rich, under the very mistaken belief that Worse Things Aren't Possible, and quite literally everyone is paying for it
even if you somehow *could* get american voters behind a trade war against canada in isolation (and i don't think you could), trump's got 150 other trade wars and a real, live shooting war in iran going on that no one supports, there's just no political will for this beyond his own

My genuinely non controversial take is that if you're signing an open letter of support for Cofnas you're either a racist or want to be admired in racist spaces.

I remain staunchly revolutionary defeatist about the trade war with Canada. Pull the bourbon off your shelves. Cut off our oil. Inflict the maximum pain you can. It’s the only way to kill the old man for good.
On paper a trade war between the US and Canada should be much harder on the northern country. But one country’s political economy can sustain the major costs of a trade war and the other’s cannot.

For over a year, Canada has worked intensively and in good faith with the United States to negotiate a new comprehensive trade deal. We have been pragmatic, patient, and persistent. Our goal has always been to get the best deal for Canadians, never a deal at any price or on any time frame.

i can halfway understand it. we are going to have to do incredibly radical constitutional hardball to make it so jim crow isn't constitutionally mandatory, but i have previously endorsed shooting people (c.f., the civil war) to stop a racialized caste system and i haven't changed my mind about that.
a lot of centrists are getting frogboiled by trumpism and attributing their growing reactionary impulses to evelyn normielib getting radicalized

there have been less than two dozen national general strikes of more than a week, globally, most have been in relatively small countries, and only only two (Russia, 1905; Iran, 1978-9) were in countries a tenth the size of the US.
General Strike. Then another. Then another. Shut down the system.

Stop using fucking Amazon to mail shampoo or other shit to your house.

Do more.

it makes me feel slightly ill to read llm prose at this point
Even when LLMs write well, the lack of variety in style is crippling. Reading the same prose in your instructions & social media & advertisements & software & PowerPoint eventually makes one queasy.

Prompting & temperature only gets you so far. Real variation is needed (and under-researched)

it was the orgy of murder to stop an election they were going to lose that i objected to :)
hello adolf hitler, i didn't know that torturing and extrajudicially murdering a libertarian communist and feminist activist - leading to the legitimisation of reactionary forces that later fed into fascism - for opposing a government and burning some fucking newspapers, is based!! (٥↼_↼)
i think she shouldn't have burned down the SPD's newspapers and murdered dozens of people by trying to overthrow the government to stop a democratic election

It’s nice that a number of Republican electeds are standing up for America’s long-term alliances. But there’s only one way they can possibly save U.S. power and security: impeach and convict Trump, Vance, and the entire cabinet. If they do it soon they’ll even still hold the presidency.
