Just came across this when clearing up. I grew up in Chester at a time of brilliant #repertorytheatre, the like of which sadly we can’t even contemplate. Age 17/18 look at how much I cld experience in my own city.

5) If you are complaining about being ‘nearly’ hit by a bike or seeing cyclists run reds, but you’ve never mentioned the 29,000 motor KSIs or endemic speeding & phone driving; you’re not serious about road danger, you're just unfairly othering cyclists as a uniquely law-breaking collective

I did have a look at recent pedestrian deaths last night and it is shocking. It is almost invisible - many of the deaths don't even get reported in the local news. Here are a few of the recent ones:
I don’t see the outrage, the horror the posts, the call for change about driver and car carnage. Just silence about the 29000 KSIs every year. Every year.

Here’s a taste from the last couple of days…

Weirdly this chap restricts who can answer. Still 30k is not much on an #ebike - if the highway had this he could easily do it.

Autonomous vehicles are currently operating in a grey area within the law. In some cases the companies that own them have obtained permission from local authorities to operate, some have not. You can help us tackle this issue by contacting your MP: act.livingstreets.org.uk/page/193798/...
Our pavements are not for sale
Delivery robots are operating on UK pavements right now with no national regulatory framework governing them. The Government is aware and it's people who pay the price, congesting pavements, creating...

At a webinar about #robotpavementdeliveries. How on earth have these been allowed? Why is there no proper push for delivery points to avoid so many home deliveries anyway? @livingstreets.bsky.social

Why do we in this country make such a deal about straightforward things. Every time I travel to Europe (and for many years) I pay #citytax at every hotel/airbnb. It’s a perfectly good name and the right thing to do. ‘Overnight tax’ is just fussy!!!

This arbitrary use of #nocycling signs on #cyclelanes is just ridiculous. Now outside Parliament. With no protection from a very busy road. @londoncycling.bsky.social

When do you ever see a sign asking #drivers to get out and push? As seen in Maidenhead yesterday.
September 9, 2026 at 7:02 AM
@walkwheelcyclet.bsky.social this is on NCN4 nr Maidenhead, bad enough you can’t #cycle over the bridge (not accessible for all) but now closed w no diversion signed; no date for repair. This doesn’t happen on roads @lauralaker.bsky.social @livingstreets.bsky.social @cyclinguk.bsky.social
September 2, 2026 at 8:16 PM
Classic example. #roadclosed sign used when only closed to motors. #walking #cycling is perfectly accessible. We need new signage. @londoncycling.bsky.social

Going to #Harrogate by #train @lner.co.uk w our bikes. Stupid tiny hanging cupboards which at 5’ I can’t do plus my bike has wide bars. Who on earth designed this. No wonder pple use cars instead. Hopeless. @christianwolmar.bsky.social @heidialexander.bsky.social @activetraveleng.bsky.social

Splendid #cycling trip in #NL #Belgium. Epic #cycling infra along railway. @greenparty.org.uk shld hang heads in shame for not supporting same along #HS2 stead of fighting against #green infra. Forcing tunnels meaning no option ever for #cycling. Shameful. @cyclinguk.bsky.social

Today this ‘#entitled’ driver of a massive SUV drove ax my path onto #C9 without indicating, braked hard, did a u-turn and after looking at me sped off. But wasn’t remotely perturbed by his own illegal action.

So another truly dangerous #driver gets away w literal murder, killing a man #cycling, pitiful sentence even tho he'd a history of dangerous driving but was allowed to drive a mega ton truck again. It's why we need decent #cycle infra + why the justice system fails those who choose to #cycle.

There is probably nowhere that needs a protected cycle lane more than Kensington High Street, and I’d be grateful if you could take a moment to tell the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea this.
They 99% won’t do it obviously, but not fighting for change is a self fulfilling prophecy so…

Thinking about swapping four wheels for two? There’s never been a better time to give cycling to work a try.

#cycling to a #Prom tonight @royalalberthall.bsky.social - sadly won’t be pleasant #cycling home as @rbkc.gov.uk removed the safe space, zero enforcement, speeding drivers, many park anywhere and few indicate! @carolinerussell.bsky.social #TFL need to take the route over 🙏🏻

Clearly need more space for #cycling on #C3 - this afternoon - awkward junction as well - if only there were fewer cars being allowed in this area. @bobfromaccounts.bsky.social
