'Combined over-use of and angry critique of AI' precisely defines our L4 cohort too.

While I moan A LOT about marking AI generated work, it is fascinating to watch the evolution of each new cohort's views on AI.

'While 22% of the public believe AI will eliminate jobs fast enough to cause civil unrest, that proportion goes up to 34% among university students.'

This comports with the combined over-use of and angry critique of AI seen especially in our cohort of 1st-year students. 3/3

Marking dissertations takes AGES because I have to stop for a little weep at the beautiful things our students write about their loved ones, their friends, and about my wonderful colleagues in their acknowledgements.
