The way I want to write an inter dimensional diner romance (as a born and bred New Jerseyan) now…I have the perfect shelved WIP for it…if I wasn’t working on 3 other projects I’d write it right now
If one day we found out that the entrance to every Jersey diner was a portal that transported everyone to one single inter-dimensional diner that exists between space and time I would shrug and say yeah that tracks.

It’s quite possible that they’re all metaphysically the same diner.

How incredible: “The full delivery took about 30 minutes. For hours afterward, pairs of whales held the baby above the water until it was able to swim…
What struck the researchers was how many mother, sister and daughter whales united to support the new calf, even ones that weren’t related.”

Increasingly of the opinion that the correct answer to the Trolley Problem is "fuck you, why are you so fixated on finding reasons to justify killing people?"

Pixar isn’t just dithering about diversity—it has become visibly scared of children themselves.

This is such a great piece and brought me back to being a queer tween in the late-aughts when Green Day was my one little piece of rep that made me feel not so alone in a very red part of suburban NJ.
I’m so glad to have more out & celebratory queer music now but “coming clean” still slaps.

I wrote a whole thing about this in Catapult years ago! Being out in mainstream indie/punk/alt/whatever was a challenge in the 90s and wasn't exactly treated gracefully (think SPIN outing Bob Mould and Carrie Brownstein/Corin Tucker).

The world could be such a nice place if we allowed it. It's all so goddamn unnecessary. There's no need for any of it. It's so beautiful here. It should be so cool to be alive

About $300 in sales will cover my routine bills for the rest of the month.

I honestly thought this was going to be a Berkley book but am equally disappointed but not surprised to see it’s Harper.
