Normies discover social engineering? Or, suddenly regular people understand how serial killers go anywhere.
This idea applies to other things. If you wear a big sun hat, a polo shirt, and a pair of baggy cargo shorts to the zoo, you can tell people wholly fabricated, rather incorrect information about the animals and they will believe you.
A friend of mine says that a reasonably clean-cut guy in a blue blazer and tie can go almost anywhere without being challenged.

Tomorrow, Friday, Sept. 11, ODOT will shut all I-5 southbound lanes in the Rose Quarter area around 10 p.m. It's likely we won't see the full effects of the closure until after the weekend.

Take steps now to prepare and learn more about how to shift your commute during the 5-week closure:
Portland: With a significant closure of all I-5 southbound lanes near the Rose Quarter starting Sept. 11, now's the time to think about how to shift your trip.

@pbotinfo.bsky.social has a new resource page on how to commute without a car and how to avoid the worst traffic:

Why is this stuff always during a weekday/workday AND during "work hours" for most of the entire work force? Oh. Right. OFFER A CHANCE TO BE INVOLVED, MAKE IT STUPID HARD OR LOSS OF INCOME TO ACTUALLY BE INVOLVED. cool. cool cool COOOL.
Renters: assemble
Renters haven’t always had a voice or friendly ear in City Hall. That’s changed, and next Tuesday, September 15, the Housing and Permitting Committee is opening up the floor to hear directly from Portland renters at the Renter’s Feedback Forum.

@bruces.bsky.social With a long winded, incredibly detailed, essay about things humans carry everyday in history and today. Why? Who the fuck knows, but here it is in all its glory and you should read it. Then, go look at what you carry everyday and think about why. bruces.medium.com/ancient-ever...

1️⃣ Mail voting remains safe and protected by law.
2️⃣ States set election rules—not POTUS.
3️⃣ The chaos is a strategy to spread doubt and fear.

So weird. Known someone for a long time. Have occasionally reconnected over the years, lost touch, reconnected. I've always know how to get ahold of them but every time I reach out it's a weird "fight" to get them to respond but when they do they are pretty happy about it. For a short time.
