Progressives need to be careful about allowing “decentering” to mask exclusion. If white males don’t see themselves reflected in the coalition, they will assume it’s not for them.

Drugs help somewhat but imperfectly

We expected it. The editorial board's "Jekyll personality" has been more dominant lately. Plus, Heywood torched any chance of getting the Times' endorsement by not doing a straight-up repeal measure. 645 would not repeal all of SB 6346, and it also jeopardizes the capital gains tax and PFL premiums.
Well that was unexpected - but most welcome! Seattle Times endorses NO on I-645, the attempt to repeal the millionaires tax. A no vote means we keep the tax, estimated to bring in $3.5 billion a year for schools and other key services.
